Hi my name is Glenn. I'm 24 and from Dublin, Ireland.
I'm a student studying Film and Media.
It's my dream to be a scriptwriter.
I'm on here to talk to people with similar interests and hopefully get some ideas and feedback.
My first 12 pages of my script is over at the My Work In Progress section. Its called The 15 Year Plan. So check that out if you want.

I look forward to getting to know a few of you.

Welcome Glenn.

Oooh, I love the Irish accent.

Hope you have fun and learn a lot - people usually do around here. The portal and recent posts are handy for checking out what's happening on SS.

Hey GlennD and welcome to SS,

I had a giggle as the screenplay that I am currently working on is based on 3 Film Students from Dublin though none of them are named Glenn. What's the chance"s of that happening?

There are many knowledgeable ppl on SS and some of them can even write !!!! So your in the right spot.

Have fun.

Regards Alex

Thanks for the welcomes. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the tips Libby.
Alex, not asking a lot, but would it hurt to change one of the character's names to Glenn?

Look forward to reading your stuff. Thanks again.

Thanks DS
So, so, so eager to learn. I know I've got a lot to learn but I find that exciting.
I know by posting my work on here it'll get critiqued but that is how I will further myself.
Only a good thing in my eyes!

Hi Glenn,

Welcome to SS.

You're younger and more educated than I am in film, I wish you well. But, you have made a good call in dropping in here at SS, because it seems script writing is one of those industry's than you can learn in many forms.

I have a 30 pager I need a review on and will swap you a 30 page review , if ok?

If so, PM me.

Whatever you lecturer tells you, you can learn a lot on the streets of SS. It may be tough, but well recommended.

All the best

Bill
