So I've been looking for a forum like this for a while, so instead of just anonymously creeping on this forum I figured I'd introduce myself.

I would like to say I've been immersed in writing for almost 10 years now. I currently am in the journalism field, but on my spare time I've messed around with screenwriting here and there. A lot of jumbled thoughts and ideas, but I've never actually gathered the motivation to put all of that towards creating a finished product.

So my hope is that this forum will help with that. Would be great to find people who are interested in offering feedback and I could return the favor.

With that said, looking forward to browsing and contributing here!

Also, I had about 10 pages of a screenplay I am working on. Just kind of wanted to get feedback on it. Obviously would return the favor.

Is there anywhere I could post it on this forum? I noticed there is a forum for posting work in progress, but it mentions screenplays that are over halfway finished.

Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to the site. The best piece of advice I can give you right now is to finish a project. Even if it's just a short film. It gets easier after the first one (to finish, the writing will always be as hard each time).

^Good idea. Do I post it in this thread or in the "Work in progress" forum?

Yeah, that's what people tell me. It's always been a hassle to just set aside some time and get to writing (tend to get easily distracted). But I've found unplugging my internet router tends to help with the internet distractions haha

Yeah, this thread would do. I've seen it done before and nobody had a problem with it.

^Thanks, man.

Here goes nothing: http://docdroid.net/pjbv

Opening 8 pages. Waiting a couple days to freshen my mind and revisit the dialogue. Make sure things aren't too corny and what not.

Hey Jim and welcome. Bit of a cliché round here but one you participate and are pretty active I believe you'll enjoy your experience around here.

Had a quick look and I'll be honest. I really liked it. Writing was very good. I'm far from an expert but, to me, this could be the start of a very good, well written script.

One thing, drop the continued's at the top of the page. Don't need them. Other than that I got nothing else to moan about. Obviously there's not much of a story yet but it's a good set up. I'd definitely be interested in reading more.

Anyway welcome and hope you like it here.

Welcome to the boards. Those 8 pages look like they could carry a good comedy to me.

Thanks, Glenn! Appreciate that.

As for the continued's, Celtx (program I use) puts that in automatically. I'm sure there's a way to get rid of it.

But thanks again for the feedback and the welcome. If there's a script you'd like me to check out and offer up some feedback, let me know!
