Hank Biro - I am a Canadian screenwriter born and raised in London, Ontario. I have had a love for film since childhood, which has driven my passion for writing. Some screenwriters who have inspired and influenced my work include: David Cronenberg, Stanley Kubrick, M. Night Shyamalan, Guillermo del Toro, David Lynch, Bong Joon-ho, and S. Craig Zahler. I have written many varieties of stories, with my focus over the past five years being on creating screenplays.
Kai Clark - I am a Deaf Canadian writer with CP born and raised in London, Ontario. I have had a passion for both films and literature since childhood. Writers I grew up admiring are: Edgar Allan Poe, William Shakespeare, Anne Rice, Stephen King, Julie Kagawa, Stephenie Meyer, Robert Munsch, J.K. Rowling, and Tim Burton. I am new to screenwriting and have been writing scripts since 2017.
Most of our screenplays include sociopolitical commentaries, and we feel all of our scripts contain striking visuals that would appeal to many audiences. My writing partner and I will be trying our hand at directing one of our shorts in Spring 2019.
Welcome to the board. Good luck in directing for spring 2019.
This is a quid pro quo site. Read a script and probably get a read back. I say probably since people do have lives outside of here so it may take a while or the writer won’t be interested. My advice would be to read scripts from active members since they are active. Youll know whose active over time and a list on the left hand side that says top members. But you are more than welcome to read whatever you want.
Hope you like it here, Gabe
Just Murdered by Sean Elwood (Zombie Sean) and Gabriel Moronta (Mr. Ripley) - (Dark Comedy, Horror) All is fair in love and war. A hopeless romantic gay man resorts to bloodshed to win the coveted position of Bridesmaid. 99 pages. https://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?b-comedy/m-1624410571/
To see that "top members" list that Gabe mentioned, click on the "Recent Threads" button near the top-right. It's sorted by "most posts in history" which isn't exactly the same thing as "recently most active", but they're correlated.
I'm just jealous because I haven't made it onto that list
This is a great place to get feedback, but also a great place to see what others are doing and offer your own impactful feedback.
Welcome aboard! Nowhere else that I know of where you can post your scripts, read others scripts and get valuable feedback—all for free! It’s a win-win-win. Oh yeah, and get discovered by filmmakers, get your stuff produced. Of course you gotta write something great.
Thank you both. I am very fond of the site. Its layout and its various features are fun to navigate, and I look forward to reading lots of wonderful screenplays.
Thank you Anthony. I read some of your loglines and they are well-written and sound like entertaining stories. I am most interested in reading your sci-fi scripts because it is my favourite film genre.
Thanks Demento, I like your avatar. 'Napoleon Dynamite' is one of my favourite movies, and I would be happy to read and give feedback on some of your work, Anthony
