There's nothing wrong with this logline, apart from me wondering what the 'real game' refers to.

It does however, sound a lot like Knives Out: A Glass Onion mystery.

Tech billionaire Miles Bron invites his friends for a getaway on his private Greek island. When someone turns up dead, Detective Benoit Blanc is put on the case.

I'm with Libby - I was with ya until ... before the real game begins.

Sounded like a tack on rather than the real story.

I'd try flipping it for the right answer. e.g.,

When a retired detective is invited to an exclusive party hosted by (DESCRIBE PROTGA) only to find that host murdered, he must (DO WHAT) in order to (STAKES).

This is dope! love the masks + murder combo. Might read a little smoother split into two sentences, but honestly the concept already hooks
