Hello. O.K. here's the deal, I have an idea for for a series but I'm not sure I can do it by myself so I'm looking for help. here's the idea....

A school-based teen comedy series, each episode taking place within a different lesson (period) every time, i.e Episode 1 = Sex Education, Episode 2 = English (each 30 minutes)

There would be 6-8 main characters (boys 14-16) with 20 minor characters in the rest of the class, and each episode would poke fun at the lesson. i.e English, how Americans spell the same words different and sometimes better (you write center we write centre which makes no sense).

Anyone interested please let me know as I have $6,000 to produce a pilot episode (and could probably do it fr ALOT less) and would keep simplyscripts.com writers on for future episodes.

Matt Mosley, semi-rich and doing nothing.

EDIT: You could also just write treatments or story ideas!

I'm looking for an easy-to-produce, low-budget ($7,000) script to be shot in the U.K. Any genre. FEATURE LENGTH ONLY!

Don't even get me started on how Americans bastardised our language

Is this set in a U.K. school or an American school?

It would be cool to poke fun at the Dan Quayle 'potato' spelling incident.

In fact, you should never 'misunderestimate' the potential to poke fun at politicians.

That whole POTATO thing has been made fun of so much in the last 15 years it's simply not funny no more. I can't see Mr. Patato head even getting a laugh out of that one.

As for your sitcom/pilot/thing... good luck with it. I hope it works out. I don't think anyone cares about them anymore, because we all know "reality TV" is where it's at... Right? Right guys? I mean... we all know it's just so original and so fun and entertaining to watch, don't we?

U.K audience, maybe bringing in an American character mid-way.

Matt, I recommend you take your money and invest it in a short.  It'll be higher quality and you could enter it in festivals with a better potential return.

As a series writer myself I'd advise you to run away from the idea of a teen comedy as over the years we've seen so many, plus the fact nobody cares about series on this site or anywhere online.

If you're willing to take what you can get which isn't very much shown in the complete lack of interest in this or the post I had a couple weeks ago it really shows you how much people care about series.

If I were you and you really want to write this, write the pilot and suck people in that way. If they have something to read and understand the characters it may sway some opinions in your favor.

I agree with most comments posted here, you would be better off just doing a small film or somthing.
