if those movies are real finished products kazzurie, why in the world arent they on IMDB.com. man- theres even stuff there thats scheduled to shoot in 2012 (exaggeration). maybe a title change?
I think this thread has run its course. Kazzurie has received enough scripts to keep him busy for now and there's no reason to keep questioning him. Let's just sit back and see what happens.
Just to reiterate.
It seems a few of you might have missed this the first time around.
For the record, I've been sitting back on this for awhile. The last thing I want to have happen is for potential producers to drop in and find a board full of bashing skeptics. Why would he ask when people send in scripts? Because people send in scipts to those who have known addresses or who have asked. If Kazzurie is not with a big name company whose address is in the yellow pages, that means he doesn't have a million scripts a day coming to hundreds of readers hoping for a gem in a pile of manure. I read online for new producers, a good place to come for scripts is (can you guess it?) BOARDS LIKE THIS! Yup, sure enough, I've read a couple of things on producing and locating unproduced scripts like this is recommended for new producers looking for something to produce. And why not? Fresh talent. New ideas. The potential to be the guy who brought so-n-so onto the scene.
Frankly, I wish we had more visitors wanting to produce. I've had a marginal amount of luck with these things, which is to be expected, but it has happened. I just wish the skeptics wouldn't be so abrupt and annoy the hell out of these people who (I don't know about you but) I want to have come around. This has been said before by those who are looking to make this a career, but I can handle someone making a big show and then showing nothing. Welcome to the industry of big talk.
If someone drops in an says, "I want your script," I'll say, "Sure, run with it." He can't rip me off because whatever he takes is registered. I have nothing to lose because I don't have people banging down my door wanting my work. And we're not so exclusive that we need to rip every prospective producer of the next S.S. originated film a new hole because he makes an offer.
I wish Bert the best of luck on his, and if this is legit, I hope he finds some potential in my work as well. Okay, I'm putting the soapbox back in the laundry room now...
Yes, Mr. Wilson, I agree that it is annoying as hell to have a bunch of skeptics on a board when a so called "producer" comes around looking for scripts. If he is an "upstart" like you mentioned, is it possible he could have the budget he claims to have?
Power to you Bert. In all honesty, I think your script is great. But let me add, you go nowhere speaking to me that way. There are around 8000 threads, but i prefer this one. you got a problem with me, you can pm me. besides, would this be the proper place for an argument? Oh and "please go find one of those for playtime, OK?" won't fly with me. I'm not ur b*tch. Neither am I a child. I understand that you're defensive because he likes YOURS- its natural. But don't demean me- and especially on the internet. pft, really manly to talk smack on the internet, isn't it
But I don't find it unreasonable to ask you to please refrain from chasing this guy off with comments that are little more than thinly veiled accusations.
Please try to imagine a thread devoted to the production of "Martin Luther King Day", and I had jumped onto that thread making posts such as yours.
And for this, I am geniunely sorry. I have no intention to stomp on ur parade. I know nothing of your current situation, but sometimes this nose sniffs out more than what's cooking in the kitchen. And yes, I would be pissed if someone stomped on MY parade. But that's the thing, I'm not stomping on YOU. Like I said, your script is great. And it'd be a damn shame if it fell into the wrong hands.
