Sure. When filming starts you get a beer, too. |

Quoted from aztec66k If he is an "upstart" like you mentioned, is it possible he could have the budget he claims to have? |
Just to address the question, I say why not? Some people are natural go-getters when it comes to fund raising and acquiring what's necessary to make a film with contacts and friends and whatever he needs. Just because someone has no credits does not mean he is incapable of pulling together a large enough budget to make something. Everyone has to start somewhere, right? This is like saying that since Bert has had nothing produced, he is incapable of writing a good script. How do you know what he has is any good? You gave it a chance and opened the file. |

Re-reading my last post, it is very accusative, so I apologize. I can assure you I'm not trying to scare off any producer that comes our way, but I think they should be honest about their intentions and if they're going to make outlandish claims, there should be facts to back them up.
If I thought my skeptical comment would have any affect on the chances of someone here getting produced, I would have kept my mouth shut. I simply vocalized what a lot of people were already thinking. |

My short 'Dreams in Dust and Marble' was, at one point, supposed to be produced. The producer dropped the project after someone on these boards slammed him.
Okay, it was me.
But that doesn't mean that everyone should keep doing the same with Kazzurie. Let's just sit back and watch what happens.

I think the deal between Bert and Kazzurie is not our business. I agree with Phil last words: "Let's just sit back and watch what happens". That's it! |

I don't know, but I know when I submit a film if its doesn't have the information they are looking for they wont put it up. |

That's true, it's nearly impossible to get independent works in progress. Even though "Good Try We Don't Like It" is in production, imdb still won't post the information.

Just checking up on things. I was gonna comment and say i will lock this thread and YOU ALL will loose your oppotunity and so will Kazzurie but since everything was solved and is going fine i'll just pretend it never happened. I mean even if he is a fake (which i do not believe) he is at least saying he is gonna produce your script and all. What's the worst that could happen? He is lying and if he is we just go on with our daily lives like usual. Ya know? And good luck on your projects and again... CONGRATS BERT |
