If anybody is looking for a place to get some feedback on your scripts and have a little fun in the process, I run an online game called "That Movie Game."
"That Movie Game" is an online role-playing game that allows participants to simulate "what it is like to be a power player in the movie industry today." Players assume roles as studio heads, agents, producers, critics, or journalists and make virtual movies. Our current player base is somewhere in the pall bark of 30 + and we’re always looking for more. If you’re a writer or a movie fan or combination of both, please drop by and check us out.
Kind of, we are similar in ways and different in others. Different features exist in both games. A couple of us used to be players of HTG but spun off and did our own thing.
I tried to read the rules of your game, but got a dead link. However, for the sake of the big question, perhaps you could answer here: how EXACTLY would this game "test out" our scripts?
This is not being a butt or skeptical necessarily, I'm just asking the obvious based on your thread's title.
Basically from what I remember they simulate Hollywood by using your script, people read it and they bash it or give it a thumbs up. It doesn't really do anything for you as far as getting paid goes or really give you any satisfaction by waiting 3 - 4 months for them to fake produce your script.
If you're a game you should speed up that process because HTG said I'd have to wait 4 - 6 months before anything starts... No thanks I have a life, next.
Speed that process up you might find more people who will join.
Don’t be fooled by pre-conceived notions of other existing games such as Hollywood The Game. We left Hollywood the game for a reason, to create a game that functions smother/efficiently/quickly and allows for better game play.

Any player of our game can tell you that we have a we have a lot faster turnaround than HTG, most films are released in matter of weeks, rather then sitting around for months. It’s one of our features that we’re pretty proud of. You choose the release date, you pick when it comes out.

That would probably be because our site was undergoing a routine maintenance check. It happens every once and awhile. The rules should be up and running now.

With That Movie Game, you're able to reach a large audience of avid movie goers and fellow screenwriters. Believe it or not, we don’t “bash” films. Instead players of the game write reviews of your films giving thoughtful constructive criticism on what you could improve on. All feedback is useful in our game, that's something we promise.
First of all, Wesley: I know for a fact that you don't have a life (Just kidding). I am one of (many) driving forces behind this game. If you know me, then take my word for it: It's a lot of fun...and I don't know what game you were playing, but NOTHING takes 4-6 months around here.
JOIN. PLAY. HAVE FUN.

Tried it out, it's really just a cheap version of HTG. The only difference is really the gang mentality that seems to be all over the boards. I also noticed that there's really only 10 names or so that post. There's practically no reviews and all your success revolves around your cast and poster.
After playing both games around, I'd have to lean towards Hollywood the Game, heavily.

Sounds very much like this board, except we don't 'play' it.
I found another board very much like this one called The Golden Script (http://www.thegoldenscript.com/). Post your scripts. Read others. Talk. One difference: this other board charges you $5.95 a month!

Be sure to thank Don, everyone.

I came across this today as well, and when I looked up the posted synopses, there were about 12 of them. One of us should sign up and lay claim to being the greatest writer ever. I think we have a legitimate shot, especially if we can post something as brilliant as Street Scriptures.
Twelve scripts? I found only five posted. And out of those five, only one seemed interesting enough for me to read. A couple of them had typos and one seemed a little unclear.
I don't see the movie makers hitting that site soon.
You're right, there are only five. Must have been suffering from Bud Light induced memory loss.
I agree with you though. I don't think there will be that many hits just yet, and no real motivation to sign up considering this site is perused on occassion.
