Are you looking for a short or feature?

Jonah, you've been visiting these boards for about eights, asking people for help in several different projects.  Have you completed any of these projects?  Or this this just another idea-du-jour?

Read some scripts here; you may find something you like.  And don't post such generic reviews.  The two that you left could be cut and paste into any script on the board.

Do you hate me or something. The name of this thread is Things You Are Looking For. I am looking for a script ok i'll be more in depth ok!!!

Hello Everyone,
My name is Jonah Hawkins and I am seeking recomendations from anyone who has read some of the Unproduced Drama scripts on this website. I am looking for a film to use as another practice film. I do however have just a few specifications:
I am looking for a screenplay that is Very Sad and Draumatic that will bring tears to your eyes.
I am wanting a screenplay in which at least one charachter dies and i perfer to have a younger cast member die because its more sad when a young kid dies
I dont want a 90 minute feature lenght screenplay.
However, I dont want a 10 minute one either.
I guess a short feature maybe 30 - 60 minutes would be good.
I dont want any ghetto or gang stuff in the screenplay.

There ya go dogglebe is that better for you?

No, Jonah, it is not better for me.  It's not better for anyone.

In the past there have been others who raise the hopes of the writers here, only to drop them like a hot potato.  In the eleven, or so, months that you've been a member of these boards, you've asked for help with:

a smoking kills themed script;

a very small town movie script;

a school play script;

and now, a sad drama script.

And during your time here, your two script reviews have been:

ooh, This sounds interesting, I cant wait to read it. Tell us when and where we can find it if not here. Please.

and

I thought it was pretty cool. Short but interesting. It was good enought where I had to read the whole thing!

Can anyone tell me, from these reviews, what scripts Jonah read?  I couldn't.  They are so generic that they could apply to anything!

Before you ask, I am doing this because I have been burned by people looking to produce scripts.  I've been burned by too many people to count!  And I am trying to prevent anyone else from getting their hopes up, only to have them crushed by those who can't get the job done.

You hook up with a writer and he or she gets all excited that someone's going to produce their work, only the work doesn't get produced and the writer feels like shit.  I'm trying to prevent people from feeling this way.

If you can provide any proof that you finished the three previous ideas mentioned above, then I'll apologize to you.  Until then, stop looking for writers.  You're not professional enough to produce anything.

What about those other projects you were working on?  Those one you asked for help with?  Where are they?

You're missing the point here, Jonah.

You come here, telling people that you need help with a script that you are going to produce.  I don't know how many reply, but a short time later, you come back here and tell people that you need help with a different script that you are going to produce.

Lather.  Rinse.  Repeat.

You have asked people here to help you on four different projects that you are going to produce...as your first film.  And aren't you also working on the ultimate thriller?

If you think I'm attacking you personally, it's because I am!  You come here and expect people to help you with projects that you don't finish.  This wastes the writers' time and it makes them feel like shit when you drop their project when the next shiny thing catches your attention.

I've written two scripts on these boards because someone asked me to.  They were going to produce these scripts.  And when they decided not to do it, it takes me a while to get back into writing because I'm that frustrated.

If you can't finish a single project on your own, don't come here looking for help.  You're not mature and responsible enough for it.  If you want to produce a script, write yourself a five or ten minute short and keep it extremely simple.  You'll get those done long before you produce a feature.
