Hi everyone, my name is Philippe Plourde, aspiring filmmaker.
I have dream to become a movie director, and I know I will be one day. I only did one movie so far (and i'm 21) but it did pretty well at a little award ceremony here in Trois-Rivieres (Quebec, Canada) I won 5 award and another 13 nominations (on a little over 20 films). The movie was a short suspense and was based off a chapter in a book. My second movie is gonna be a drama based on a break-up I had a hard time getting over. I knwo next to nothing about technicalities of movies (you know what type of camera and whatnot) truth is I'm still experiencing with alot of that stuff, I do work in a videostore and have seen A LOT of movies so I mostly film by instinct and most of the time it turns out great. I'm going to a filming/editing school next year and will have access to green screens, cameras of all types, editing rooms and other goodies.
So enough about me, to the point already! I have a great load of ideas right now in my head and sadly for me my writing skills are REALLY limited, its really not my cup of tea and so one day I discovered this website, started to read scripts at random and see how talented you all are, I find it fantastic that you help each other out like that with scripts and that you all share the same dream and the same passion. And then I thought to myself, maybe, you guys could help me out, even tho I'm not a writer in any way, but I still have that burning passion in my veins about filmmaking and I know that I will succeed no matter how long it takes I know I will because there is nothing that can stand between a man and his dreams provided he has the will to work and the determination to continue pushing forward. But I digress, my apologies.
Back to the point, I would be in absolute awe if you guys could write some scripts for me, I'm not trying to abuse you, but I know that most of you would love to see what they write on screen, even if its a small project and I would love to direct more movies, but I can't go anywhere without scripts and I have all these ideas in my head that needs to get down on paper so I can make more room for more ideas see? So if anyone is even remotely interested in some free work (unless somehow said movie ends up in a festival winning cash in which case I would undoubtly split the reward) with of course the name attached to the project (with frequent consultation during shooting and stuff) please reply to me it would really really help me out and I know that I could perhaps help someone out at the same time.
My ideas varies a lot between drama, thriller, action although I don't know why, I have a thing for thriller. Short movies for now I don't feel comfortable enough yet to be making anything bigger than that and most of the film festivals are for short movies (at least the one I know of). Speaking of that, my biggest idea right now would be some sort of thriller I won't say much here but I could tell you in PM if you want to.
Sure. PM me. I'm always interested in possible producers. I'm actually working on a horror/thriller, but I it's not a short. I could write you a short thriller if you'd like.
