I entered a couple of contests for the first time recently. They are ongoing, however, so I have not been through any "process" yet. I'm only commenting because I feel bad that, other than Shawn, no one else did. I don't want you to feel ignored!

I could never afford to. Not that I can't wrangle up the money, but I've never written anything I thought had a chance to win a contest, so it basically would be me throwing money away. If I ever wrote something I thought could win, I'd probably enter one.

A handful of you have responded to me via e-mail; most have yet to go through the entire process with a competition, but a few have made it through from start to finish and those are the ones I am in the process of interviewing.  I plan is to have these interviews posted in a couple weeks.  But I'm still looking for a couple more writers to interview, so if you "qualify," please get in touch!
