I've been hearing a lot about this script, especially from Carson on Script Shadow.
If you have it, I'd love to read it.

Thanks!

I read the script 1.5 times yesterday.
Guess I missed the boat on this one.

I liked the writer's voice, but the story didn't captivate me.
Felt like I've seen all these elements in other very familiar tales.
I was hoping for more conflict within the town.
But it was mostly centered on past issues being discussed.

I can't imagine where Depp sees himself in this.
I wonder what his prod co will do with it.

Regards,
E.D.

It's not genius. But it will make a solid movie.

It's slow to develop, the first half driven by mystery, the second half by tension from what's about to happen.

And it should be called High Noon II, because it very self consciously copies not only the beats, but really the story itself, just dressed in new circumstances.

It's definitely good screenwriting craftsmanship.

It was written very well, maybe a little overwritten for my own taste.
It was good overall. Worth a read.
