About 35 pages in, and some rough dialouge between Micah and the girl aside, this is pretty damned excellent. To some degree, it shares similar territory with the (and to my mind, excellent) "Loved Ones". Looking forward to finishing this off over the weekend, but am keen to hears others' perspective on it.
And from what I've read today, it might be pushed forward by a prodco, so we may be seeing it in the near future.
I enjoyed it - a lot actually. Not into horror but there was a lot to be loved here. Some really good scenes that would look excellent on film. Especially love the mother's story sequence.

Agreed that that scene has a lot of potential... assuming we're both talking of the little girl that is really Mother scene?
Apparently, Carson's fanning the flames on this one he's attached to.
Read this a while back. The scenario's very marketable. But I found the kids' dialogue terribly ADULT in large chunks throughout. It gets very distracting at times. Since your two leads are not sounding remotely like their ages.
But buyers won't care much about that "minor detail" anyway.
As to the Loved Ones (likely the most underrated horror flick in recent years)... Marino's script doesn't have a villain at its core with Lola's sadistic glee. In that wonderfully mean film, we know the story's mantra... Whatever Lola wants. Lola gets.
No such bloody fun in this script. Think this one will likely sell due to the concept and the author's prose all the same.
