My son won two gold medals in the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for his video games.  We need to make a video greeting.  However, he is having a hard time doing one perfect two minute take.  Can anyone recommend any free/cheap and easy to use editing software?

You may want to try asking for film editors on craigslist.  Maybe they'll do it cheap... and with experience.

I have use ShowBiz for doing web and marketing videos a few years ago. It's basic, but has a story board drag and drop feature. Should do the trick.

It depends on how intricate of an edit you are looking to do. If you have some experience and want to do something more specialized, you can get a 30 day trial of Adobe Premiere off their website. I don't think they watermark for trials.

If you're just looking to cut together a basic series of takes with some music and titles, even windows moviemaker (not sure if that's still what it's called) will get the job done.
