Firstly, I am British and have been working on various scripts over the last ten years or so. Anyway, I have now finished what I believe to be an absolutely unique screenplay/story. It is unique because of the characters, scenes and inter-relations of events. Now, I've trawled through God knows how many websites looking for genuine agents. And so I thought I'd come on here and ask if anyone can provide me with a genuine agent - no BS - just someone genuine preferably with great connections in the film industry. Oh, by the way, the story is a suspense thriller!

Thanking you in advance!

Welcome to Simply Scripts!
Unfortunately there is no magic formula when it comes to acquiring an Agent or Manager.

Getting your script exposure is the first thing you should do.
You say you have a unique script.
Have you shown it to anyone, entered it in any screenwriting comps?

SS is a great place to start with getting your script noticed, plus you'll get invaluable feedback from fellow screenwriters.

Here's a good article with some general advice:

My advice would be to get a subscription to IMDb pro, find as many agents as you can that rep writers who write in similar to the genre of your script. Then query them with the script title, the logline and a simple “would you like to read the script?” No more, no less. Something they can read in under ten seconds. Good luck.
