Also known as Harold and Kumar Go To Whitecastle.

Anyway, I saw this yesterday and I have to say this is one of the funniest films that has been out for ages.

Harold and Kumar are two stoners in their early twenties who just aren't getting anywhere in life. One night the two decide to go to Whitecastle for a meal, but soon their car is hijacked by Neil Patrick Harris, they are picked up by a freak (complete with a fit wife and warts which pop while you watch), introduced to two sexy twins who enjoy playing BATTLESHITS ((Shit Noise: Hey, you sunk my battleshit) and a cop whose only weakness is bullets (among others)

This film had me cringing and in stitches most of the time, it's just excellent.

It was alirght... It was. For a new comedy, they didn't try too hard and that was a good thing.  I did, however, have to say... NEIL PARTICK HARRIS was ... he was just, WOW!  He made the movie!  His little cameo made the movie worth watching for me.  I really didn't like the two leads, they weren't at all funny.  I thought Harold was, at times, but the other pearl snorkler... he was just too forced.

In the end... the movie was better than any of the abysmal American Pie movies but it stil comes in way way under WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER or RUN RONNIE RUN.  2 of the funniest movies, I believe ever made.

American Pie 1 was OK. and just OK. The other 2 where still OK, but worse than the first... get what I mean? When the first came out, it was almost new, it was fresh and a change for once.... the other 2 where two forced and old, with the same gags occouriong numerous times. I haven't see nHarold and Kumar because I thought it was just another farted out stoner film, but maybe i'll check it out now.

But Balt hit it square in the bull's patootie, Wet Hot American Summer is and will always be one of the funniest movies i've ever seen, and not one "under-ordinary" teen film has come close to it in my book.

Balt- i'll also check out Run Ronnie Run next time i'm at a video store.

FAVORITE MOVIES:
1. Clerks
2. Mallrats
3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
4. Napoleon Dynamite
5. American Beauty
6. Spanglish
pretty much any kevin smith flick or movie with Adam Sandler.

You should!  It is just... shockingly funny... it's from the guys who done MR. SHOW, so the level of creativity is there...

I'd also like to add that SNL and MAD TV and all them other wanna be funny shows you watch on tv, can't hold a candle to THE STATE and or MR. SHOW... Two of the most innovative and just well thought out skit shows ever.

I loved how MR. SHOW always connected one skit to the next, that was just... it was brilliant, it made the whole show seem relevant, opposed to SNL and MAD TV where they just have a random set list of skits all dreamed up within a week and it shows.

I got the box set of the STATE and just... I can't believe how amazing the show was and the reason it was pulled, or so it is said in the books... No black or minority cast... That's a shame, cause it is hands down the best of the best in comedy skits.

Also, the bulk of the STATE made up the bulk of the cast in WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, mind you... so you know it's brilliant now.

Balt~

P.S.
Don't take a drink of anything when you watch RUN RONNIE RUN and it gets to the pool party... You'll be cleaning it up off the floor if you do. It is that funny.

Having a Scottish background, when it comes to comedy, my tastes are very British (ie. dry, black humour). I did though enjoy Harold & Kumar. Very funny in parts.

Talking about sketch comedy, for me it would be Monty Python. Infact, my favourite comedies are:

SHOWS:
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Fawlty Towers
Blackadder
Mr. Bean
Allo! Allo!
The Family Guy
The Simpsons

MOVIES:
Super Troopers
Life Of Brian
Search For The Holy Grail
Anchorman
Old School
A Fish Called Wanda
Dumb & Dumber
Something About Mary
A Night At The Roxbury
Four Weddings & A Funeral (not sure where this falls...)
This is Spinal Tap

WHAS is indeed very funny I was surprised to see a character of that movie appear into Anchorman.
