If you read this post don't touch this dvd... ever. It's bad, one of if not the worst piece of crap that's come out of Hollywood since Will's last couple films. This guy just can't act, he can be funny on occasion but not as a leading man.

I'm not even going to waste the time telling you what it's about, buy it, burn it and don't even waste the piss to put out the ashes.

The features on the dvd are a little better than the film which had a couple funny parts but not even close to enough to actually call this a film. The bloopers were funny but than got weird when Will and Christina were well it was weird.

Porn can't be this bad or it wouldn't sell so well, I'm sad that i even wasted my time on this and wanted to see it.

The film gets a 1.5 out of 10... 1.5 because it does have a couple funny parts and the .5 is for Christinabecause she's kinda good looking in that boney ugly hollywood kinda way.

The dvd and features get's a 5 out of 10

I would steer clear of this unless you're a big fan of these types of films.

When I saw this in theatres, I was dissapointed.  While I did not think it was bad, I didn't think it was really great either.  Fortunately, when I purchased the title on DVD, I found it at least 4300 times better (at least).  But, Wesley, you are correct in that this is not a movie for everyone.  It all depends on whether or not Ferrell's sense of humor works on you.  By now, most know if it does or not, and "Anchorman" is not going to change anybody's mind.  But, what can I say?  "Elf" is now one of my favorite holiday films and I think "Old School" is hillarious.  Even worse, I can't wait to see "Bewitched."  So, in the end, this really has to do with just how much Will makes you laugh.  Obviously, he works for me.

Movie: *** out of ****

DVD Extras: ***1/2 out of ****

The Unrated version includes a few more naughty words, but that's about it.  As for extras, there is a funny making-of, funny alternate takes, funny bloopers, a funny music video for one of the worst songs known to mankind, and a funny commentary with director Adam McKay and Ferrell.  Also, you can purchase a two-pack DVD set which includes a whole other movie made completely of deleted scenes and subplots originally meant for the released film.  Entitled "Wake Up Ron Burgandy," it's not half bad, especially if you liked the original.  It's a bit strange to see that there was a completely different plot envolving a group of dim-witted bank robbers that doesn't even get a mention in the theatrical release.  While not as good as the original, it is still very good considering it is technically made up of what are usually bland deleted scenes.

I thought the film was o.k. nothing particularly funny. "Dodgeball", another summer hit, was far funnier.

I've got the unrated version, I'll add an extra 1 because I was a little unfair so a 2.5. I actually like Elf and thought it was a pretty entertaining film. This one had it's moments but a series of moments doesn't make a film.

I didn't hate this film as much as Club Dread though

Oddly enough, like "Anchorman," "Club Dread" is another movie I was initially dissapointed with.  Upon a second viewing, though, I liked it a lot more (again, 4300 times more).  This one also has a much funnier Unrated version.

That commentary kinda brings the overall score down, they bleeped a commentary which makes no sense if it's called unrated, uncut luckily I wont allow the odd commentary track to ruin the films score.

Although this was definitly not Will's besty movie, I still loved it.

I love Will Ferrel and his slapstick ways, no matter what anyone says, he'll remain at the top of my list.

Long live Ferrel!
