Alright, so "Episode I" was a bit of a let down and "Attack of the Clones" just plain sucked. But does that mean that George Lucas has completely lost his touch? After watching "Revenge of the Sith" in a crowded theater at 1:00 a.m. in the morning, I can say that Lucas has just redeemed himself for all of his wrong doings.
"War!" is exactly how this installment's opening scroll begins and "War!" is the common theme throughout this third prequel. Anakin goes from A whiny pussy to the mean-spirited enemy of good that we all know him as. Obi-Wan stops with the philosophical gibberish and finally becomes the light saber wielding badass we all know him to be. And the Emperor is finally revealed to be the soul source of treachery in a galaxy far, far away.
I almost fucking cried during a "Star Wars" film. Yeah, I know.
We finally see why Vader is who he is (not to mention he gains a whole new sense of sympathy that will now carry on forever throughout the rest of the classic trilogy). As shown in the preview, there is a scene that takes place on a lava-covered planet that is filmed so well and performed so powerfully that it alone gains this one an extra 1/2* point.
"You were the chosen one!" bellows a sobbing Obi-Wan as a dying Anakin stares back at him with lifeless, evil eyes. This of course takes place after the fact that the Clone army has turned on the ones they are sworn to protect and Skywalker slaughters a class of "younglings" (which, if you didn't know, are Jedis in training, some of which look no older than eight years old).
I can't say enough about this one. Though, it is not perfect. Stilited dialogue and boring stretches of nothingness still haunt this prequel as it did the other two. Then again, as a mega plus, Jar-Jar doesn't say a single God damn word.
If you want to see great light saber action, immeadiately check this one out. If you want your hope restored again in "Star Wars" and George Lucas, see this movie right away! And, surprisingly, if you want to cry, you may just one to see this, the third and without a doubt, the best of the "Star Wars" prequels.
"Star Wars" has returned and left all within the same movie. It's been one hell of a saga, and it is nice to see it end on a fantastically dark note.
***1/2 out of ****
And, just so you know where I'm coming from:

I enjoy episodes one and two, and I love Jar-Jar. Still, having read the script online, I know enough to agree that episode 3 is amazing. I just hope Jar-Jar gets a prominant role in the upcoming live-action TV series.
So was Aniken Darth Vader? I heard he was. And does Natile Portman die? if these are true Im not seeing the movie someone please send me a pm letting my know
Buried Secrets (Tenative Title): Pre-Pre Production (2009-2010)
I thought this movie was pretty damn great. While nowhere near up to the par of the OT, it featured some nice dark violent action and the best damn saber fight ever filmed.
All I need to say is that it was worth standing outside for nearly four hours in the rain (from 8:00 to nearly midnight, when we were let inside) dressed as Lando Calrissian to see this movie.
Oh, and you can see the Millenium Falcon flying around right after the first action scene. Also listen for Chewbacca's Tarzan yell. Those were the only in-jokes that I noticed on the first viewing.
i just saw this movie too, and it blew me away. i DID cry during it, so much Jedi death man, it gets you. man did Hayden shut all the critics up with this one, from being a little stale in Episode II, he was amazing in this one. Really good work. but again. Ewan Mcgregor takes the stage as the star role, he put on an amazing performance.
The way it all happened, it seemed to happen so fast, and the transformation from anakin to vader was amazingly quick, but really well done, and the ending shot of Uncle Owen holding Luke while looking off into the 2 suns of Tatooine, just like the shot at the beginning of episode IV, that was very touching.
And who knew? Samuel L. jackson being the bad ass that he is is the one who made the Emporer so damn wrinkly! (Does anakin have a thing for chopping hands off?)
FAVORITE MOVIES: 1. Clerks 2. Mallrats 3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 4. Napoleon Dynamite 5. American Beauty 6. Spanglish pretty much any kevin smith flick or movie with Adam Sandler.
It's the curse of the blue saber. Whoever has the blue light saber loses a limb or loses the climactic battle.
Ep 1: Obi Wan won with the green saber after Darth Maul kicked his away. Ep 2: Anakin was using a blue saber when he lost his arm. Ep 3: Blue vs. Blue: Anakin gets everything chopped off. Ep 4: Obi-Wan uses a blue saber and gives in to Vader Ep 5: Luke has his hand chopped off using the blue saber Ep 6: No blue saber. Green saber wins.
Hey, maybe Anakin does have a thing for chopping off hands...Dooku, Windu, Luke...I'll bet he would've chopped off Obi-Wan's if he'd had the chance.
As for the movie, I felt it tied up the old and new trilogies very well. Sure, Lucas works on grand planetary vistas before perfecting his dialogue, but at least everything was bluntly explained. I will have to say I left with a mixed feeling. Movie was awesome, but it sure has a depressing ending, huh? But what a great tie-in with Ep 4. You see the blockade runner all over the place in Ep 3, and it's the first ship we see in Ep 4. Boom. Instant identification.
Well done, Lucas. Before your next movie, learn how to write dialogue (or get a good editor) and we'll be happy with your future projects.
Does anybody else think that perhaps the emperor could have killed Windu all along (just look how quickly he took out the other Jedi accompaning Mace), but he just wanted Anakin to walk in on Sammie L. holding his saber to his neck? Just a thought.
Saw it twice love it, even more the second time. The only thing i really don't like is Sam Jackson, he is really miscasted.
Check out my Script:
Feature: "Candy: Inspired by the Houston Mass Murders" Horror, Drama - 15 year old drunkard Wayne Henley gets caught up in procuring his teenage friends for a serial killing psychopath. 117 pages
sam jackson is, and CAN, be in everything, haha. he rules.
the thing about lightsaber hands/force powers isnt true i dont think, after all, most jedi's fight with two hands on the saber or flip it back and forth.
i cant stop saying good things about this movie, very, VERY good. and who agrees with me and kevin smith? didnt hayden C. put on an awesome performance in Sith?
FAVORITE MOVIES: 1. Clerks 2. Mallrats 3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 4. Napoleon Dynamite 5. American Beauty 6. Spanglish pretty much any kevin smith flick or movie with Adam Sandler.
Hayden Christiansen gave a really good performance, especially in the last 40 mins of the film.

I loved episode III .. in the beginning I thought it was just going to be ruled by special effects but it turned out to be awesome. The lightsaber duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin was really well choreographed. The last half of the film was the greatest. Just loved it.

duh, how he was faking and overacting ... I thought it was pretty obvious :p
