Hey all,

I haven't been thinking about Evil Dead Trap much, but as a reminder to me, I'm adding this EDT Region 2 DVD, which I must say, unfortunately, pretty much sucks.

The movie, in my opinion, is awesome. Any true horror/gore fan should at least rent this out, if they want to or not. This was one of the first Japanese Horror movies, and was also voted the best of th contemporary Japanese Horror Films. Alas, the Region 2 DVD is cut by 8 seconds, but even the british dvd people or w/e couldn't take out the eye scene - it was so awesome! Once in a lifetime! Well...Unless you've seen Andalousian Dog.

The special features...aren't really special at all.

CREDITS - A pointless short list of about 5 people.

Trailers - Three trailers - UZUMAKI, EVIL DEAD TRAP, and JUNK.

Biographys - The best part of the SF's, this gives info on the films and a short biography on most of the characters.

ARTWORK - Some pointless artwork for Lady Snowblood and some other stuff.

That's all I can remember, except for the SUBTITLES (English on/off).

Total rating - 4/10 Poor

Movie rating - 9/10

This is such a great movie.  *shameless plug* Everyone in the world should buy it! Hey, also, I found that the director of this actually dislikes horror, and would call EDT a
ultra-black comedy.

It's so cool! Nami is so cool! Psychopathic killer fetus Hideki is so cool! Rent it, or even better BUT IT! It's a must-have for ffans of classic horror/gore films!

Curse!

You'll be glad to know your raving about this film around the site has gotten me rather interested in seeing it. I'm from the UK so if I was to check it out it would be Region 2. Is the 8 seconds of gore cut REALLY good stuff? Does it really change the impact it has? I hate it when I know stuff is cut...

Also, have you seen EVIL DEAD TRAP 2? If so, how is it?

"Are you saying I'm crazy!?"

Hey Ian,

Yeah, I'm totally glad my going on has worked. The 8 seconds doesn' make that much of an impact.. The 8 seconds doesn't really compare to the eye scene...

(SPOILERS)

The 8 seconds contains the woman getting a bit more knifed up.

So, no, nothing too bad. Definately worth watching.

BTW, no, I haven't seen EDT 2 yet, but... it's not even connected to the first one, as well as EDT 3 which isn't even a horror.
