Do you like violence? Do you like gore? Do you like watching mean wheelchair bound old men being decapitated? If you answered yes, you'll love this film. It is the most violent film of the year. And I loved it.
The story is simple. The Punisher(Ray Stevenson) brutalizes any and all bad guys. Billy(Dominic West), a respected gangster, is tossed into a glass crusher and is horribly disfigured. Billy turns into to Jigsaw and sets out for revenge on the Punisher. The plot is as bare bones as it can get. But lets be honest, we're not watching a film called "Punisher Warzone" for an epic plot. We wanna see baddies get punished. And they do get punished. A lot of them.
I would say there are over 400 on screen deaths. Each one is juicy. We have a man getting his face punched through. A man gets his kidneys ripped out and eaten. A another man get impaled on a spiked fence and then gets his face used as a stepping ladder. The gore in this film is brutal. How they got an R rating is beyond me.
Technically the film is very well made. Great effects, especially on Jigsaws face. The directing was good and stylish. The acting was so-so, but it got the job done. Dominic West is the shining star in the film. I think he has a bright future in hollywood. Ray Stevenson doesn't do much besides pull triggers and grunt, but he's not bad.
Overall, I'd give this film a 8 out of 10. It's a slasher movie with guns, and it's damn fun.

I'm surprised that they would make this movie, honestly. IIRC correctly, this is the fourth Punisher film and the first three sucked big time.
Yeah, gotta agree with Zack, I really enjoyed this. I'm a great fan of the comics, and this lived up to my expectations. I enjoyed it a lot more than the 2004 Tom Jane version. This film started with Frank Castle already as The Punisher, and then told his back story in a few flash-backs. Which I personally thought worked a lot better than having the first quarter of the film (as the 2004 version did) showing how Frank became the Punisher.
Overall, I'd give this a 7/10. Definitely gonna watch it again.
