My friend recommended me this show a few days ago, and I'm already hooked. I breezed through Season 1 (a mere 7 episodes) and I'm just starting Season 2.
There are so many great things about this show: the acting, the crisp writing, the very deadpan humor and the many twists and turns of each episode.
I don't know how it's even possible to watch the cold open of the Season 1 pilot and not keep watching. If you can, seek it out and tell me that's not one of the craziest and best ways to open a series.
I highly recommend this show.

Sorry, Didn't do it for me. Writing reminded me of the shield. I know there attempt was to (in my opinion) to create a bad hero, but for me- to unrealistic.

Really? I liked how they focused more on his cancer situation (and how he dealt with it) than the actual "bad" stuff. I found it interesting how he was kind of pulled into the world by a series of escalating events more than actively pursuing it.
But to each his own.
(Also, I enjoyed "The Shield". I watched it when I was watching "The Wire", and it made for an interesting (albeit bizarre) comparison in looking at ethical issues and the structure of our legal system.)
