Neither a comment or question, but a suggestion. Watch Dollhouse on FOX September 25th at 8 o'clock (Central Time). You will love the ideas that it brings along with the acting and writing talent. You will not be disappointed. Buy the first season for under $40 or watch the best episodes on Hulu.

I purchased it on Blu Ray when it came out. Pretty good series but the creator of Buffy & Angel & Firefly.

I watched a couple of episodes before deciding it wasn't that great.  I was actually surprised that this show was brought back and the Sarah Conner Chronicles was not.  OTOH, the Sarah Conner Chronicles probably knew it was being cancelled and jumped the shark in the last episode.

So did Dollhouse. The final episode was kind of an ending but they got picked up.

I love Dollhouse, but it's still developing and needs time to grow. Buffy didn't properly hid it's stride until mid-season 2, because the concept needed to be fleshed out and the mythology established before it could be expanded and start going in more interesting directions. That's why I'm so happy that much to my surprise, Dollhouse got picked up for a second season. I hope it develops more of a following and maintains it so as to keep the show alive, but the realist in me thinks we're only getting one more. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

By the way, to anyone who only watched a few of the earlier episodes and tuned out, I suggest you go back, start again and stick it out until episode 6. If you still don't like it, by all means stop watching, but for the majority of people this was the episode that blew the show wide open and suddenly made it a far more interesting show with loads of avenues to explore. This is because Joss Whedon was given back control of the show on this episode, and he was able to develop it from then on as he had always intended. However FOX felt a more episodic 'mission of the week' structure would be a safer bet to start off the show with, so that people who'd missed the first couple of eps could tune in and still understand what was going on. The result was a bland and boring show that ultimately LOST viewers, because a lot of the people who watched the pilot were bored by episode 3 because not a lot had happened lol. Once it runs with its on-going story line though, it's leaps and bounds better, trust me! I really wish FOX would learn not to meddle...

I think most shows unfortunately follow a formula that is exactly the same as every other show.

Watching some of these shows and seeing how bland they really are when it comes to a unique idea.

The general idea of Dollhouse is good and the storyline throughout but the situations the characters are in are bland.

I like this show a lot too. Loved Alan Tudyk's performance towards the end of the season. I'm glad he's coming back.

The show is still finding it's feet, and since it's Joss Whedon obviously it deserves the benefit of the doubt.
