Of the animated features to come out the last few years this is probably my favorite.

The story is simple and quite lackluster if you think about it. Luthor becomes president, forces superheroes to work for him or else and Superman being his enemy refuses and thus begins the story and just for kickers Batman gets dragged along.

I'm not sure how closely this sticks to the book because I have not read it but for me as a nerd it really does what it needs to do.

A bunch of heroes and villains make brief cameos but mostly just adding to the action. Lots of ass gets kicked and who can fault them for going that direction after Wonder Woman was slow and painful to watch for the most part.

My only real gripe is the fact that Batman comes off as superhuman when he is not. Superman takes an ass kicking throughout and Batman always seems to be all good.

It was kind of similar to the other Batman and Superman movie from a few years back. Superman comes off as the weak one.

I'd definitely recommend picking this one up when it drops. From the IMDB page it looks to be getting good reviews from fans too.
