The Gay Bed and Breakfast of Terror is by no means the best movie I've ever seen.  It's a good example but not a great one of what you can achieve with a low budget.  It's not groundbreaking, but it gave me some of the biggest laughs I've had from a movie in a long while.  I watched it last night and I'm still chuckling about one scene which explains the owner's "son" - I'll be chuckling about that for a month at least.

The movie takes us into a run down gay bed and breakfast located in the middle of the desert.  The strange owner and her bizarre daughter are catering to a mixed group of gay men and lesbians arriving from the city.  Despite the sheer horror the group shares when they arrive at the spooky Victorian house, they have some sheer terror in store for them later that night.

This movie has a bit of everything in it.  Comedy, horror, drama (queens), gore, sex, drugs, body paint, cross-dressing, folk singing, nuns, bingo, family-values, bibles, bondage, leather, cannibalism, monsters, etc., etc.   For the most part it doesn't take itself too seriously though there are a few moments when it is genuinely creepy or sometimes just gross.  The ending is a bit out there but at the very least it wasn't a Hollywood ending.  Overall, the film has a message, I think, but I'm not entirely certain what that message is.  All I know is I was lmao.

Do I recommend this film?  If you can find it and are interested in seeing some campy gay horror, then yes.   If you wouldn't be interested in such things then avoid it.

No, I'm afraid I haven't seen it, but from the trailer, it reminds me of Rocky Horror picture show.  It also seems like they cover every gay sterotype in the book.  Some of the acting looks really bad.

I have to admit, the guy coming out of the womb I believe was funny.  Oh well, it looks like cheesy fun.

Some of the acting is bad but you can kind of forgive it for the budget and there's other stuff that makes up for it.  And like I said, it's not the best movie I've ever seen.

If you thought the guy coming out of the womb was funny, wait till you hear the explanation for that!!!

Then I just might have to sprint down to Blockbuster and rent it.

Well, if you'd put down your big pair of scissors and stow the bottle of formaldehyde...

I'm considering making my FEB 3WC gay themed, no matter the genre and criteria.
Thirty pages ought to be about long enough for a children's half hour program, so that'd be fun.
"Hey, kids! Guess what? Some people like oysters and some people like snails!"
And some people... just like foolin' around.
