One of the best comedies of 2010 comes out on DVD today, and I thought I'd help spread the word a little bit by posting on the board.

It's called Four Lions, and it's a brilliant satire on the war on terror and religious fundamentalism.  One of the reasons this film is particularly pertinent to this board is because the script is incredibly well-written with razor sharp dialogue.

The film was crafted by Christopher Morris, a well-known (in Europe moreso than the US) satirist who always takes taboo topics head-on.  But the best part, especially in regards to Four Lions, is that he manages to do it with respect for his subjects.

If you have the chance, I would definitely give the film a watch.

That made me laugh. This site IS becoming dangerously international...

Also, I particularly enjoy the way you've pretty much done a full academic citation as the title for the thread. Although I've always been taught it should be (Morris, UK, 2010).

Agreed. Loved it in spite of a harmful subject....
