I caught this film last night, it’s another in the now ever popular found footage genre and I believe it comes from Spain (not positive about that) If so then it has some good company with one of my favourite found footage films “REC” which also derives from Spain.

We have three parapsychologists that move in with a widower called Alan and his two children. They’ve been having trouble of the ghostly nature recently which happened just after the wife/mother died, surely not a coincidence.  Anyway, the group tries to uncover the truth, which might be a ghost or perhaps something more even more sinister. They may even try to find out what happened to Alan’s wife and why it may be her haunting them. They also decide to video the whole thing and install video camera’s all the over the apartment to capture the results.

Although there was were a few scares, they were too few and far between which is why I watch these movies and maybe that’s why I was disappointed by the end.

It’s not all bad and I liked the mystery surrounding what happened to the wife which keeps you guessing. Especially as Alan's daughter seems to think that he had something to do with her death. I actually think some of the acting was good, especially Kai Lennox who played the widowed husband. Also the kids did a good job and played their roles well, if anything it was our team of Ghostbusters who below-par and there wasn’t enough personality there to push them along.

At just over 80 minutes including the credits it also seemed to drag in places which is a surprise and I found myself drifting, especially during the middle segment.

The final act does get better and you get some back story about the wife and how she died but overall it did feel like a weak ending.

Not at all a terrible movie and some will like this, the acting was okay overall but it was poor script really. I think the biggest thing for me was I found it kinda dull at certain times. I want to be anticipating that next scare rather than being desperate for it.
