I don't recall ever seeing this back in the day, and based on the summary, it sounds like something I would have been interested in. SO, when I stumbled across it on Netflix, I said WTF and gave it a spin.
We've got some star power here in the form of Faye Dunaway, Daniel J Travanti, and a nice young and hot Kim Cattrall. Hey, we've even got an absolutely terrible performance turned in by old Ned Beatty.
I wish I could find out what the budget of this was, as it does involve lots of "at sea" scenes, tropical island scenes, and some really poor green screen scenes. At times, it looks OK, and at others, just laughable. This thing obviously bombed at the BO, with a whopping $1.4 Million - WTF? For reals? Yep, for reals.
As a movie, it really blows. Decent premise, terrible execution, bordering on laughable in many instances.
I actually watched it in its entirety, but shouldn't have, as it really is a joke. I guess it really doesn't matter what year we're talking about, there's always piss poor scripts turned into piss poor movies.
For an added treat, lie back and take in the sound track, and you'll be whisked right back to the mid 80's cheese.
