It's funny.  When you read reviews and comments on movies, you're almost always bound to run into someone saying "this was the worst movie I've ever seen", and then someone will reply back, "well, you obviously haven't seen very many movies if you think this is the worst".

I've seen alot of movies.  I've seen ALOT of terrible movies.  This may well be the worst of the worst...the largest dung dropping on record...the bottom of the proverbial barrel.

It's very rare that I don't make it through the entire movie.  Even if I dose off, I almost always go back to it the next night.  This time, I bailed on purpose.

The opening 10 minute intro is very difficult to watch on its own.  I was getting an itchy finger to flip it off, but I told myself it has to get better...just relax...everything's OK.

Well, it definitely did not get better.  Just unreal what's on display here.  Without trying to bore anyone too much, here are a few thoughts and observations.

Some of the very worst acting I've ever seen.  I honestly believe pretty much anyone could walk onto this set and not embarrass themselves any worse than any of these "actors".

Possibly the worst script I've ever come across.  I feel like I can say this without reading the script, because the "writer", Declan O'Brien, is also the Director.  He's also the Director of the shitty Wrong Turn 3 - Left for Dead.  The dialogue on display here is beyond comical.  The actions and reactions of literally everyone involved here is on the level of a 4th grade school play.  Just jawdroppingly pathetic!

The gore is extreme but far from remotely realistic.  It's very easy to see how each effect was staged,a nd it looks like some college kids on a $250 budget put it together.  It's actually hard to sit through and watch...at least for me.  It's gore for gore's sake and nothing else.  It's the reason I finally turned this pile off.

After watching 3/4 of this "movie" I honestly believe that a group of people with no film making experience could get together and within 2 weeks time put together a better quality production and movie.  I honestly do.

PURE, RAW EXCREMENT of the most disgusting kind imaginable.

The really bad news?  I've got Wrong Turn 5 showing up in my mailbox tomorrow afternoon, also written and directed by my new least favorite Writer/Director, Declan "Fuckface" O'Brien.

Rot in Hell, Declan, you fucker...I hate you!

LOL.
Bet you can't wait for...
Wrong Turn 5!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2375779/?ref_=sr_1

They got Pinhead in this one.
So, I guess that's why they called it Bloodlines.
Isn't that the subtitle for the Hellraiser in Space movie?

Yeah..I saw that Doug Bradley has continued to stoop as low as possible in his role choices.

Yeah, the Hellraiser in space is called "Bloodline".

I liked the original Wrong Turn.
After that it was down hill.

I LOVED the original Wrong Turn!

Yep, it's been downhill, and part 4 is hopefully the bottom of the pit, but I don't have high hopes for Part 5, which will be viewed this weekend.

This was HORRIBLE!!!!  One of the very worst I've ever seen...couldn't even watch the whole thing.

I have to slightly disagree with this.
While I didn't like the first Wrong Turn, I liked the DTV sequel a lot better. I looked forward to Wrong Turn 3 but the concept was clever but poorly executed. Out of curiosity,m I looked at Wrong Turn 4 I noted it was a prequel Why? Because the w/D from the previous film screwed up and knocked off the last killer inbred and did not follow up with the promise of 2. (of course, Henry Rollins made the second film more entertaining to watch)

But I wound up being impressed by the prequel in terms of over the top gore, minimal locations, snow and so on. I almost wished, however, that it had nothing to do w/ Wrong Turn. If it was, it would not run into the basic problem which is nobody gets out alive.

While Jeff is on the spot about the dialog and the characters being half banal and half bland I don't think it was the worst of the series. Why do they keep making them--I couldn't tell you.

I'll check out #5 soon, but if the last two are any sign, it's low priority. Still, that said, at least for better or for worse there's at at least one horror franchise that keeps chuggin...
