Loved it. Old school Disney feel with a 2013 spin. While the story and themes harken back to the Disney princess films of the late 80s/early 90s (e.g. The Little Mermaid), the writers clearly have no bones about ripping the old formula apart. The characters are more flawed and complicated than ever and the script constantly subverts fairy tale tropes like "true love" and "good vs evil" in interesting and progressive ways.

Still, everything you'd expect from classic Disney is here. Frozen is funny, entertaining, and consistently endearing. The songs are also fantastic. Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez handle songwriting duties. Robert Lopez previously cowrote the songs for The Book of Mormon. If you're at all familiar with the musical, you should have an idea of the caliber that's on display here.

I also feel like in a way, Disney has always been game to change things up and evolve so in that sense, they're essentially doing what they've always done here. But anyone who grew up with these films or took their kids to see them will latch onto the nostalgia.

I wasn't without my share of nitpicks but figure they're sort of irrelevant. Everyone should know what they're getting into with this one. If you're a fan of the old school Disney style, you should enjoy yourselves. Non-fans shouldn't expect to be converted.
