I had high hopes for this one, but boy is it ever slow and dumb.

Bryan Cranston and Alice Eve make up the star power, but everythign is so heavy handed, so dark, and basically illogical, it doesn't matter who's in it.

The writing team of Tze Chun (who also directed), Oz Perkins, and Nick Simon don't do this any favors, as the premise and plot is stupid, dull, and offers absolutely nothing new.  CLiched from the opening shots, the story fizzles on an epic scale.

I really have nothing positive to say other than maybe Alice Eve delivers a strong performance, but Cranston offers little to nothing and seems to be heavily sedated throughout.

Of course, you can do much worse, but I see no reason to spend an hour and a half tying to stay awake for this.

Chalk this up to yet another terrible screenplay that somehow got made and attracted some star power.

I could have told you this was going to suck without even watching it.
