I'm 22 minutes into this. I'm hoping it ends up decent...but WTF.

22 minutes and it's nothing but character introductions. Like 172 of them. An they're still going. All separate little scenes where nothing captivates us or brings us into the narrative. This is just horrible story telling technique. There's no need to flood us with all these characters at once. Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones...those writers know what they are doing and the characters are introduced in effective spacing.

I'm going to keep watching, but this is really really aggravating. I've already forgotten most of the characters.

UPDATE: I tried again. I WANT to like it. It's just horrendous story telling. Nothing is happening, we've got too many characters, we're not finding out anything about them which grabs us and makes us see what happens next. How does storytelling go this unbelievably wrong? I mean it's unwatchable garbage. Maybe it gets good at some point, but you have EARN an audience's attention. It's not given to you just because you're the Wachowskis. I mean this is total crap.

I saw an advert for it, it's a Netflix exclusive right?

Same people who made Matrix right?

yes...I couldn't get past first half hour, and I really wanted to. I made 3 efforts. It was so annoying it raised my blood pressure.

I agree, I nearly bailed until I got to the end of the first episode.  That grabbed me and I felt I needed to watch the second episode.  Which I did.

It starts slow and it is disjointed.  I think it gets better after the first two episodes.

I urge anyone to completely finish watching the first episode before deciding to ditch the series.

Thanks, I'll give it another shot. Those endless introductions were torture. And the way many of them were done was pure annoyance.

I would check it out but I don't have Netflix anymore, if I'm paying for any subscription service it's going to be the WWE Network.

Still tho, nothing will ever beat X-Files, hands down the greatest television show of all time.

And I don't want to hear about how it fell off in the latter seasons, because Robert Patrick was still awesome, and so was everything else.
