Anyone seen this one?

It's a little bit like a modern CUBE, but if you like edge of your seat adrenaline pumping movies, which I do, this one is a recommend. Sure it has it faults, but overall, this one delivers.

A group of people agree to take part in a game for money... I know. Old hat, but this one does it well. It's very intense and it ends in a way that leaves it open for sequels in case it is a success.

The characters are opposites. Almost like the writers tried hard to have stereotypical opposites. This makes things a little predictable. However, I don't know if it was just me as a wannabe writer that could see through this and regular movie goers wouldn't notice.

I enjoyed the different scenarios/locations that they created. Very clever.

I'm almost thinking I want to see it again. Not sure that the film is THAT good or maybe I'm just more into it since I'm currently writing a VR game type thing. Either way, this one was worth the Amazon buy, IMO.

I actually watched this a couple of nights ago. I was pleasantly surprised. Was a fun watch and I'd definitely recommend it.

Now they will kill it with as many sequels as they can :/

Is it streaming or DVD, Warren?

I don't see it on Netflix.

On IMDb there are two movies already:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5159414/
(2017)

And:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5886046/
(2019)

Which one did you both watch? Just curious...

I like these types of movies.
This one was a goody, (below) along the same lines:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1016301/
2007, Spanish. Well worth watching.

The 2019 one with Deborah Ann Woll from True Blood and Daredevil and Tyler Labine from the ever awesome Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

Pia is talking about the same one.

Like, Pia said. Basically a 2019 version of The Cube. But weaker, dumber and aimed at teens. I saw it, even thought I'm not a teen, I guess that's why I didnt like it.

The newest one from 2019 was the one I watched. I think it showed up on my Amazon Prime.

I've seen Fermat's room and I liked it too. ER is more intense and of course bigger budget, so better production value. They might have got one of the ideas for the different locations from that one though.
