This one is on Hulu. My least favorite streaming site, btw...

SOME SPOILERS!

This movie is good. Well worth a watch. I wouldn't quite call it great, but it's definitely worth a watch. It similar-ish to Misery in that it basically takes place in one house. Instead of a crazed fan and a writer, we have a woman suffering from trauma and Munchausen By proxy, I think. In other words, it's a mother and her crippled daughter in one house. Sara Paulsen plays the mother and Kiera Allen the daughter. I thought both were great. Not quite the level of Kathy Bates, but she's a titan!

A nice suspense thriller that kept me engaged the whole time.

I found it really cheesy.

Sharp Objects on HBO did a much better job with the Munchausens topic a year or two again.

I appreciate that the actress they hired actually uses a wheelchair, though.

I loved Sharp Objects. The book and the movie. Or was it a series? I can't remember.

I thought Run was pretty good for being basically a low-budget one-ish location with few characters though.

I liked it. There were a few intense moments in this. I agree that it's a good example of effective low budget writing. A lot of it was derivative of other captive one-location movies, especially Misery, but I found the tension in it strong enough to drive the narrative. We signed up for a free Hulu trial just to watch it, but there wasn't enough left on there to keep me. We did watch Little Fires Everywhere. That was some great film making that just left you sad for every character involved by the end.
