Watched this last night thinking I'd get a remake of the 2003 film, which I really did enjoy. I can't say I cared for any of the other films in the franchise but the first offering was a great film IMO.

First off, I'll say that I enjoyed this 'remake', it looked good, was well acted, just a decent horror all round.

SPOILERS

The part that confuses me is if the creative team actually paid for the Wrong Turn IP, because as far as I can tell all that really offers to this film is the misdirection.

This film could completely stand on its own legs and not have any connection to the original franchise.

Anyway, horror buffs should enjoy this.

Watched the trailer. But, it did not seem like a remake to me. The tone seemed different than the original movie, which was fun for what it was.
