Thank you

I can deal with some more agressive messages, and i was actually expecting them. The good thing is that there´s also people willing to give me a chance. I already received private messages for an handful of people.

Is it frighten-people-off day today? I hope there's not too many beginners out there looking on the boards ready to dip in going off some of the replies this guy's had.

If he's new, he'll learn. He seemd to make a reasonable request to me.

The only ones who will reply are the beginners because they don't know better.  The more experienced and produced people, here, will pass on this.  They know that once a script is produced, no one else will want to use it.  And you can't enter it in competition, even if the finished work is completely unviewable.  I say this last part in general.

Exactly. Let them get on with it. When they make mistakes, they'll come back more willing to listen. Nothing wrong with beginners making mistakes together.

Unless it's a mistake that can avoided.

Incidentally, the questions I originally asked are the same questions asked whenever someone pops in looking for a script.  I'm not singling Splinter out.

You´re wrong. I´ve received messages from people with several works produced who have been on this forum for years. And the beginners are all welcomed. Who said i had any problem working with beginners? Are we supposed to start as experienced filmmakers? Is it possible  to jump the beginning part? I didn´t know that.  I thought we all started as beginners and developed into better artists through constat test and trying. Maybe i´m wrong. I have an idea: Do it your way, i´ll do it mine.

No. You said i had to convince you i can properly produce something. You started with the wrong foot by thinking i had to convince you of anything. I´m not looking for your help or your scripts. I´m looking for the help of people who understand what i´m after and are willing to make an experience.

You are not giving any kind of contribution to this thread. You´re not teaching me anything, you´re not helping me to find what i want and you don´t really seem to be here with any good intentions. Some people are just full of hate.

Splinter, here's your best bet right here.  ^ If you need a good story she's the script fairy.

This, too, was speaking in general; don't take things so literally.

A lot of people come to these boards looking for scripts.  We just want to know who we're dealing with.

Make an experience?

No one know what you're after based on a generic script request.  You got defensive after being asked a question that you dodged.

I am here with good intentions.  Atleast I was.  I was wondering what you had to offer... and then I found out.

And I may not be teaching you but I think I am teaching others.  So are you.

It´s not generic. It has several indications that can give the writer a good idea of what i want. The rest can be discussed in private.

In my original post on this thread, I asked:

Quoted from dogglebe
Do you have any education or experience in filmmaking, Splinter?

to which you replied:

Quoted from Splinter
Education

Quoted from Splinter
I know a thing or two about a thing or two.

You dodged my question.

And, while you listed some requirements for your request, it was a generic script request.

I think Jessica Alba is hotter than Jessica Biel.  They both have letter "B" though
