Can anyone tell me if the "SERIES OF SHOTS" heading would be written under the scene heading, shot, or action element?  I'm just wondering if SERIES OF SHOTS can be at the bottom of a page, or does it have to have a page break before it?  In the FAST FIVE screenplay, the second scene (it's numbered as a scene) is SERIES OF SHORT, IMPRESSIONISTIC SHOTS, so I'm confused.

A series of shots would be its own heading but not a proper heading, it's still a camera direction so would only be double spaced. Then the action comes underneath.

SERIES OF SHOTS:

Action here...

Action here...

Action here...

Then you can either close the command like so: END SERIES OF SHOTS. Or you can go straight to a new scene heading.

I used a SERIES OF SHOTS in a script of mine, not too long ago actually.

It was something like...

INT. AIRPORT - TERMINALS - DAY

SERIES OF SHOTS

A) Passengers do this

B) Passengers do that

C) Passengers do this

I did it because the visual was jumping from one thing, to another, to another.  I imagined the visuals as quick-cuts so...

Thanks for the replies, guys.  I do understand how to write the SERIES OF SHOTS.  I'm conerned with whether or not it's ok to have the SERIES OF SHOTS heading as the last thing on the page.  Like, you can't have a scene heading all by itself at the bottom.  Can you do this with SERIES OF SHOTS, then on the next page, actually start the shots?

Best to put the heading on the next page with the series of shots underneath it imh. Ditto if you have a general scene heading.

If it's the final draft then yeah, just hit the enter key and flip it over to the next page.

Otherwise, just wait. With future edits it could end up anywhere.
