Well, Hello to you...
I’ve only ever written short stories, autobiographical, or op-ed type pieces, and I’ve been suddenly inspired to attempt a film script. This came to me while pondering what the world would be like had mankind not discovered, measured and become obsessed with ‘time’, and I am diving into a screenplay (treatment for now) showing that type of existence. I have a few questions, but mostly want advice on if this should be a non-linear setup. I’d love to run stuff by some of you. Thanks much,,

Tell us a bit about yourself (optional):

Best thing to do, once you're up to the point of having a Treatment of part of a script written is post in the WIP thread:

As Ant said, SS runs on a qjid pro quo basis.
Read some scripts and people will be more than happy to give feedback on your treatment.

Welcome! And, take it from someone who is horrible at log lines... nail the logline first. Then the treatment.

Then, when your script goes off track, as it inevitably will, refer back to that perfect logline to get you back on track.

There are some excellent log line writers here.

Good luck!

Good day, all.
Thank you for your replies, guidance and whatnots. This new project is a risky and bold undertaking for me, which I’m sure will involve many struggles, but I’m very happy to say I have completed the treatment and now feel more prepared to delve into my first draft very soon. Now I just need a pharmacist on speed dial. 😁😁
