Hi. In a script, the first time you visit a room you describe it. After that you simply write who is sitting where and what they are doing.

If this is the 1st in a series do you have to describe everything again from fresh on series to or even the remaining episodes of the 1st series.

TIA

Desmond.

P.S. these buttons on the website are very small.

Desmond, I'm no expert on Series writing but I would think the set-up would be fine and stay as is without you needing to repeat the information we already know.

Unless of course there was a radical change or need for extra info.
Example:if a pink elephant suddenly appeared on the coffee table and was part of an episode's plot, or at least a pivotal part of dialogue..

Okay. I thought that each episode may have to be taken on an individual basis.

Desmond, what kind of series are you writing?
I think it depends on that.

If, for example it's a Sitcom I don't see why it would change but without further info re what specifically you are writing it's hard to tell. Jmho.

A lot depends on who needs this information. I believe that the production team / props department would need this in order to construct sets for the first and subsequent episodes. If that is all it is needed for, then unless I need to make changes then it is set in stone.

I.E.

INT. KAREN’S HOUSE – KAREN’S BEDROOM – MORNING

The bedroom is very girlish with a double bed with a light red duvet. In the corner is a wicker chair with a teddy bear sitting in it. The room is very pink and girlish with other dolls around. There is a poster of Ariana Grande on one wall.
