Hey all,

I have a story idea that will span a couple of decades. The problems that the protagonist will experience will be a result of secrets from the past that I'd want to have slowly unfold. In order to do this the right way, I thought that if I were to outline all of the events, from 20 years ago, to present day, it would allow me later to 'cherry pick' the most logical items from the past to slowly reveal.

Do any of you have thoughts on the matter or perhaps can point me to some resources that would help?

Thanks.

That.

I've been working on and off with something similar for ages and I wish I did that from the start.
