I admit to writing "Still in the Cabin: Of Cannibals and Cabins 2". I apologize if it offended peeps and also apologize to Don, as I really appealed to him to post it and he's obviously not happy with the ramifications of the posting.
I'm still voting for it, though as easily the best written pisser of this batch, although there is some serious competition.
It would be impossible for me to try and guess who wrote what, not knowing enough about other people's work - and similarly it would be unfair to pick three, because I haven't read enough.
But I will say that one of those named above, I won't say by who, was written by me, and not the person they guessed.
Anne Goes to Camp -- Brett. He's been dealing with lots of execs lately, after all... Splitzkrieg -- Greg Criterion -- Sandra Where There's Smoke -- Cindy Consummation -- Jordan One/zerO/One [room] -- Darren James Black Winters -- Darren James Seeley Waiting Room -- Rebekah Dark Escort -- Gabe
No, you don't. See, you were more or less irritated with everything...and you darn well know I am here to give you a frakin' headache. Even that asprin in your hand won't help you!
When I read Consummation my first thought was: a whorehouse in the desert, a honeymoon scene that isn;t what it appears, death by dildo...Jeff! But his review was pretty harsh, so unless it's a misdirect, I think my instinct was wrong.
Splitz is a good story, well written and set up. I felt it petered at the end, even though giving the medals to the kids was a nice touch. I have it on my list of finalists. Could be a Greg. For some reason I thought of Ray, because he had a similar short posted a while ago, I forget the name, but I liked it a lot.
I'm thinking the cabin/bear one: Chris Heretic The chair torture one: Darren
Both of those stories had merits, but I think they need one more pass to get them into shape. A lot of regulars are busy and they bang stuff out last second. That's what happened to me. I even forgot the Fades it was so rushed. Had fun writing it, so worth the effort.
