Before I reveal the Writer's Choice...

I'm very impressed with breath of scripts that came in.  I liked the interpretations of the theme.  One important thing that came out of this OWC was the healthy discussion of what "one location" meant to each person.  

Each writer was asked to pick his/her top three favorite scripts.  For those who wanted a criteria for selection, I included the below information.  

Did the script:
>  stay within the page count
>  meet the character limitations
>  meet (in your opinion) the location requirements
>  meet the spirit of the challenge in that any reasonably competent group of people could film the script with a low budget.

I do realize that many of you will think that the selection criteria is not fair since there are many interpretations of 'one location'.  Again, bear in mind, this isn't contest.  It is free.  It is meant to be fun.

With that being said. The runaway Writer's Choice is:

Remnant  by T. Henrik Anttonen (henrik)

Followed by:

Anne Goes to Camp by Phil Clarke Jr.
Splitzkrieg! by Greg Baldwin

Oh, wow. I can honestly say that I did not see this coming at all. Especially a day after I got my pilot shot down in a pretty gloriously deflating manner. I have to say that this was a confidence boost that I needed desperately.

Thank you everybody, you can't imagine how flattered and revitalised I am by this. I'll post more comments about the piece and replies to the comments you guys made in the thread for this.

I'm sure you can put Babz's editing skills to good use.

Despite my crazy double pitch con schedule, this OWC was a blast for me.
The submissions were pretty stout across the board.
The interpretations of the rules made for some exciting reads.
I didn't suffer reader's fatigue this round due to a dynamic theme.

I got the added bonus of sliding a script in there.
If I wasn't busy enough, I thought I'd "throw my voice" on the page.
It was fun to watch Cornie take the heat for my script.
Though methinks Mr. Michael was onto me towards the end.

Much props to Don for putting together a fun event.
It's the most fun I've had on the site in months!

Phil, I came close to voting for Anne Goes to Camp. The only reason I didn't was because I had a personal favorite that I really loved. That was:

Dead N' Gone

Also, I really like Dark Escort

And

Where There's Smoke

But they all were very special in their own way.

Could have easily gotten me vote, but I just couldn't vote for
it because of the lost "Cat Box" opportunity. But it was
way up there too.

This was an amazing OWC. I really learned a lot.

Sandra, is there a bigger story brewing with Criterion? Looks like you have a really interesting novel in your head. Or could if you continue with the story's development. If you flesh out those ideas, that would be a great fantasy novel. A feature, too, but need to make it a little clearer.

In a different thread Kevin said the OWC is one of the best and fastest ways to learn - damn right. What a two weeks.

In the end my tally was 2 from 3 which is pleasing with Jeff' my other choice.

I will comment separately on One Cold but for now thanks everyone and Don. I look forward to the next one.
