The southern accent.  I just BS it.  True southerners probably roll their eyes.

Hi Gary, or Abe, whichever you prefer. I could kind of tell the Southern talk was off a little. That’s why I thought maybe Martin Lancaster, one of my favorite writers, wrote it.

This was one of the ones I liked the best.

Abe,
I've finally finished reading the 1 week contest scripts. And this ends it on a high note.
The idea is highly original and creative. The dialogue was very funny in some parts. I got a kick out of the Ethopian comment. So wrong yet so funny. Your script had great timing. From mixing an ugliest loser contest with hicks afraid of zombies to having the reporter point out his mistake "oh wait it was the dumbest loser contest" you supplied the reader/audience with many jokes.

I'm with others on the almost over the top southern accent thing getting tedious. I understand it for a few characters. But it was like imagining the hicks from "Deliverance" speak everytime one of your characters opens their mouth.

Ultimately I think you crafted a polished script that provided a few laughs. Good job Abe.

Thanks for the read, Tony.
Yeah, it was out there some.
Had fun writing it.
The language did go way over, but you know
what I say to that, "Shoot me, if you don't like it."
Again, thanks for the time and your comments.
Looking forward to "Marvin."
