Thanks both for the reads. I should really swap the script that's here as I've changed it. There is no break in the 4th wall now. Although the rap will still be prominent throughout the shoot. My business partner is a music producer and he has a stable of rappers, vocalists and his own studio.

I've also cleaned up a couple of typo's that are in this draft.

In regards to he being evil. You're right, he isn't. Far from it actually. He looks for petty things to steal, where he doesn't have to exert himself too much. Very much a kid that's just lost. His one parent murdered by the other, state care, crime, prison... eventually some just give up, like Benji. They fall into heavy drug use and have no way back. Not that they've got anywhere to get back to. I suppose it's just easier to be a nobody than work hard at being a somebody for some people.

Ah, I've got rid of the picture now. And his mother is stabbed to death at the start. Just a couple of little changes since this draft. Things happen once you start casting and finding locations. Even now it's going through another draft.

We do have a great method actor for Benji, his name is Benjamin Bull, and I actually wrote the script with him in mind as the main part. He played Martin in All About Janet (my first short film in post at the moment), which was basically just a bed-ridden guy... no dialogue. That's all I gave him. I didn't want to specify a particular affliction. He was amazing. So, I wanted to reward him with the lead in this one, hence the lead's name being Benji.

As soon as they are available to view I'll put links to the films in relevant threads.
