Nice little story.  Works for me even if gramps seems a bit sadistic.  But I buy it. Old people tend to br ornery.

Chris,

I really liked the story, but I am not sure I would categorize it as horror. It would also be cheap and easy to film. Correct a few typos and tighten up the action sequences a bit, then you'll be in a good position for someone to take an interest in filming it. Best of luck.

This was a decent read.  I got the horror from it.  Some of the dialogue was a little strange, I couldn't picture it.

I wish you kind of foreshadowed the cats somehow.  They seemed kind of random.

But overall nice story.
