A pair of gloomy screenwriters, with a volatile hatred for the film Groundhog Day, find themselves trapped in the same day - and theater - where the film plays non-stop.
Robert, I read what you have so far and I think it's pretty amusing. If this is a feature length idea my only qualm is where's it going to go? Do I have to sit through Groundhog Day again?
They're stuck in a theatre with it playing on endless loop?

They go to leave - there's a blizzard just like in Groundhog Day! Dan is going to die a few times, frozen to death like Jack in The Shinning.

Bill Murray running the concessions.
I do think it might work to have what's happening on screen, at certain times, mirroring what's happening within Dan and Rebecca's story, but God only knows with this thing, LOL
Wall mounted tv yeah. Although I suppose it would be 2003 era!
