So, story questions. Excellent. I'm prepared for that.
I had a super-strong idea that I was going to pitch... but, when I sat down to get serious about it, a quick "first step" Google search brought up a movie currently in production with the exact same idea. Bummed me out, but, at least I was able to recognize a sellable story when I saw it. (And, I had only put brainstorming work into it, so not much time lost.)
My current idea isn't quite as strong, but I like it. Hopefully they will, too.
Thanks for the info!

Hey all - I received this from Imagine Impact a couple weeks ago and thought you might be interested in the results of the first II session. The next session is open for applications January 7 and closes January 20, 2019. This is what they sent:
We can't believe it's already been three months since our Impact 1 class' first day in Los Angeles! We're so proud of all the hard work our Creators put into their projects and pitches, and we're endlessly thankful to the Shapers and Speakers who helped guide their projects along the way.
Below is an update on everything our crew has been up to post-Pitch Day, and further down you'll find info on the launch of Impact 2!
Thank you all for your continuing to support Impact, and we hope to see you apply to join us in LA this spring.
Happy Holidays!
-The Impact Team
-On Pitch Day, we hosted almost 250 individuals from every major studio, network, and production company in Hollywood at Pitch Day where they heard our Creators showcase their projects
-Within 48 hours of Pitch Day, over 600 scripts were requested and distributed to executives via our Impact mobile app - the first app of its kind in the industry
-Almost half of our Impact writers came into the program without representation, and 7 of them have already been signed by top agencies and/or management companies
-In the weeks after Pitch Day, 3 of our television projects have attached showrunners to produce them, including two Shapers who were thrilled to have the chance to stay onboard the projects they shaped
-Though details are still under wraps, we're excited to say that there are 5 Impact projects with offers in and active buyer negotiations...
-But more than anything, we're proud of having launched our inaugural class of Creators into the world. We can't wait to watch them close deals on projects, staff in writers rooms, and excel in their careers!

I'm applying. If I don't get accepted, I'll start writing my script idea and see if I can't get it done in the 8 weeks that Imagine-Impact runs.
Would be cool if someone from around here got in. Even better if 2 got in! Hell, let's make this place a training ground for the fellowship!

The good news is: I can get started on the project I pitched.
And, I've already got the idea I'll pitch for the next Impact round. Guess I'll get started writing up the application!

Still waiting on my reply. - no email to speak of - either way.
That's weird. They said all interview requests have gone out, and everyone else got an email with a link to a Ron Howard video. I got the video link.
But, they clearly said they're done. Maybe you should follow up with them? They have an active Twitter account if nothing else.
