I would have thought that the article on the link {hosted on a University web site} might indicate my integrity ? Is there something / anything that you doubt regarding the integrity of the content on that link?
Other than that what "evidence" do you require ? evidence of what ? my mother's death ! do you think about what you write before you hit the send button ? ie, how offensive it might be...
I guess that {as ever} folks only believe what they want to believe, no matter what "evidence" is presented to them.
As for "the Spectator not being the most interesting Mag around" well, you are on the wrong horse there too, I've never even heard of that Magazine. It might help if you reread my earlier post, I clearly mentioned the HAMILTON Spectator, a major regional / respected newspaper in Ontario.
What "evidence" are you calling on to "doubt" me / call me a liar ? don't you realise how offensive that is ?
As for "proper" links, if you'd done a "proper" search in the archives in of any of the credible news papers that I mentioned you might have found this in the New York Times.
If I want to call you out then I'll do so; if your case is sound then you're in the right and I'm in the wrong and you have nothing to worry about.
So far you have two links, and to go with this story you'd need a better body of evidence ... I'm simply asking can you produce a substantial body of evidence.
I don't want to sound harsh or anything, and I respect the problems you've had, I'm just saying, and I hope you understand, that a piece like this would have to be well-researched, be it a book or a film, and either the publishers or the producers would really want to go over the facts (and probably with a fine-toothed comb) ... so I'm just saying you need to have them to hand before you start with this, readily available, that's all, a bunch of links.
"Call me out" ? how old are you, 15, you certainly don't use mature language.
"it you are right you have nothing to WORRY about" !!!
Why would I "worry" about you, what next, would you like to meet me in the playground ?
Do you suppose that I have forged that article in the NEW YORK TIMES !!! or the article on a University web site, do you think they would host that if it wasn't verifiable.
Believe what you wish, I have better things to do that to joust with a juvenile...
You're having a laugh, you don't want to sound harsh yet you attempt to discredit what I have said, and dismiss the credible links that I have presented.
How about I "call you out" how credible / competent are you trawling through the Spectator Magazine when you should have been looking some 4,000 miles away at the Hamilton Spectator.
As mentioned previously, believe what you wish, I have better things to do than joust with a juvenile...
Honestly, Bob, I don’t think Simon was “calling you out” in a juvenile playground fight sort of way. I’m surprised you took it as such.
That being said, I think if a writer decided to work with Bob on this then he’d be able to provide a whole trove of info and links so said writer could gather as much info as he deemed necessary to get the whole scope of the situation.
And that being said, I also think Bob has provided enough info in his numerous post where any writer worth his salt could write the story right now if they wanted to. Based on a true story doesn’t always include all the facts, and most is just made up for dramatic effect anyway.
Thanks for your fair and reasoned comments, they are valued and appreciated.
I guess I have little tolerance for someone who based solely on their ignorance attempt to discredit my integrity. After all it's not too difficult to verify what I've had to say seeing as it was reported by credible / internationally respected news organisations.
The problem is, "folks only believe what they want to believe" no matter what "evidence" you place in front of them, if they don't want to believe it you're flogging a dead horse.
By the way, is it possible to post a jpeg in here ?
This is an interesting one {that I hadn't seen before} reported in the Buffalo News, NY, I guess the Canadian papers were shy of publishing this, I knew of the plot, and obviously who they intended to kill, but it was all swept under the carpet by the Canadian Government of the time. Hard to believe that a Senior Manager at a company would make such allegations only to see the Police investigation dropped...
