Disappointed I haven't had anything suitable for any of these calls. I need to expand  my repertoire.

Well no SciFi or Horror has made it a little different... I may submit to this one based on an idea rather than anything written... when/if I have an idea!

I had something I wanted to submit for the female lead thriller, but as I read on it seemed complicated and you had to record a video pitch too, so I lost interest.

I entered the female lead thriller. The application was a pain and the 30 second pitch? Worst short film I’ve ever made.

James.

Good luck James! Let us know how it goes. I would love to see your pitch even if it sucked. I think the reason I never even bothered is because I have never pitched anything and just have no clue how to.

Nope. That one stays in the vault.

I'm a terrible sales person.  Would rather hire a pitch man and just remain behind the scenes.

I'm right with you. Did they even respond to you that you weren't chosen? I heard a lot of people were never notified of anything.

I've entered all but one. (It'll be two now, because I don't have an action/comedy.)

I gave em one of my better ideas for the female led thriller. If they open it up again to any genre, they'll get my best idea (a sitcom).

I'll keep applying, mainly because I think it's a good exercise. (I don't really feel hope anymore about being chosen.) But, man, I'd love to get chosen for the 8 week deal that they used to offer. I hope they go back to that once COVID dies the death it deserves.

And, yes, my videos are brutal, too. It's nearly impossible to get anything in but the very basics.

Yes, it's quite an exercise. I'll probably do something about it just to get back to writing after this thing I'm doing is over

I threw my hat in the ring for the first one, and having to answer all those questions was probably more valuable than getting my atrocious pitch in front of them.

Feature-length scripts:
Who Wants to Be a Princess? (Family)
Glass House (Horror anthology)

TV pilots:
"Kord" (Fantasy)
"Mal Suerte" (Superhero)

Additional scripts are listed here.

Got my rejection email yesterday.

It said something like, "You suck as a writer and should definitely give up." Though, not exactly those words.

Still, I soldier on.
