I discovered Phil K Dick after I went and saw paycheck, a movie that I really liked.  So, I read the short story, and now will read any Phil K Dick story.  I recently wrote a short movie based on THE KING OF THE ELVES, and uploaded it to Simplyscripts.  Any other Phil fans out there?

I used to read a lot of his stuff as a kid.  I really liked DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP.  Six months after I read it, a movie called BLADE RUNNER was released, based on the novel and directed by the great Ridley Scott.

MINORITY REPORT, PAYCHECK and SCREAMERS (underrated sci-fi flick) are all based on his works.  Definately good shit.

I hate to say it, because you gave some good feedback on BATTLE, but I hated Screamers.  DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP, on the other hand, ruled.  I really liked MINORITY REPORT.  Also, A SCANNER DARKLY, and UBIK, were really underrated.

I can't believe I never saw this thread. Phillip K. Dick rules. The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch is probably the strangest book I've ever read.

haha
a scanner darkly....i hope they don't ruin this movie.  paycheck was a pretty bad adaptation.  minority report was okay.  the running man just sucked.

also, if they turned Ubik into a movie, that'd be sweet.

philip k. dick is the undisputed literary king of parallel reality!
