Just seen an advanced screening of Casino Royale a few hours ago and i have to say wow. It is outstanding. You could not ask for anything more of a Bond film. Daniel Craig puts in a good performance in reviving James Bond. It has action, humour, hot girls, poker, everything.

I would advise you to see...

I'm just back from the cinema and I have to say that Casino Royale was absolutely............AAAAWWWWSSSSSOOOOME!!!!!!!!!!!! I freakin loved it!!!!!!!!!!

I've never been the biggest Bond fan. The only one I ever saw in the theater was Die Another Day and I liked that one. But Casino Royale royally (pun intended!) kicked Die Another Day's ass! I am now an official James Bond fan.

Daniel Craig IS Bond. Full stop. Connelly, Brosnan and all the rest are old news. They definately made the right move casting him in the lead role. He had both the rugged exterior and the sophisticated, English humour that was vital for this movie. He had all the best lines (even though the movie was full of them!) and he really looked the part. Can't wait to see him in the next one!

Everyone else was perfectly casted too, even the extra poker players around the table in the casino! The plot was an absolute myriad of twists and turns, quippy one-liners and blood-pumping action. It had all the ingredients of a great Bond movie, tenfold!

Casino Royale is the only film in a long time that's actually got me laughing like an excited little kid! It felt great to be sitting in a packed cinema again with everyone cackling with me at the funny parts and sitting in a tense silence at the dramatic parts. Haven't had that in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and I definately recommend it to those who haven't seen it. Kids, adults, guys AND gals will enjoy it. Guarenteed.

I'll definately be in the theater for the next one. I'll just wait for the Casino Royale DVD until then lol!

I give Casino Royale 10/10. Go and see it!!!!!!!!

I saw this yesterday... and I must say I was expecting a lot after what I'd heard about it and all the critics saying it's what Bond films should be like. And I must admit, they were right.

Might as well start off this bit by saying this is, by far, the best Bond film ever with the best Bond ever in it. Daniel Craig had a lot of people out there who doubted how he'd fair as 007, I wasn't one of them after seeing him in Munich, but I hope they eat their words because he had so much more style to his Bond than any of the others. The only other two names that pop up even close to him are one Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan (Connery's kinda there too). I mean, maybe it was all the script that gave him this brilliantly stylish, more serious Bond but he had a lot to do and he gave such a believable, for once, and highly more gritty performance in the character I've ever seen.

I love the James Bond films but they've all kind of deteriorated as an effect of seeing Casino Royale. If you're not a Bond fan, you will be now. The one thing I didn't like much in the other films were the OTT humour, well, not over the top but quite stupid and inappropriate jokes that Bond says. There was only one that I can remember from this film and it was hilarious and totally appropriate for the moment. I'm not gonna spoil it though.

Another thing that stood out in this Bond was how long it was. Very long compared to others. I think it runs for around 2 and a half hours and the thing is... you kinda feel it too. It doesn't drag along though, that's the weird thing. The action in it is immense, I mean, much better, more realistic stuff with less pathetic and unrealistic explosions. And there aren't like a million explosions either... which is a good thing.

A few good twists and turns. Obviously, like most Bonds, a car chase scene and another brilliant free running chase scene that starts off the action wonderfully. Once you see it, you know you've just seen the best Bond movie ever... and hopefully, Daniel Craig will return as Bond at least one more time if not ten. The best Bond and the best Bond film yet.

9/10 for me... utterly brilliant but not absolutely perfect.

I may be an idiot, but I'm no idiot.

I saw this movie on the relased Date Nov 17 first morning show, WOW totally different experience.

After watching the movie I truly belive the script was a rip-off from Fan Fiction of "Quantin Tarantino's Casino Royale!". The opening scene with Black and white, the camera angle , Slanted P.O.V, these all are from Tarantino's vision. Also the tortoure scene.

Martin Cambell's input was seen in the boring Second Half of the movie, the lame story telling.

Only thing good about Daniel Craig is, he's in the Shoes of BOND, that made him Great. The Charcter Made the actor SHINE. And also Gary Powell's ground breaking realistic Action scenes. He turly added charisma to Danie's Bond than director Martin.

Bad thing about the movie - Still continuing Lame musical genius David Arnold's muisc and worst title desiging from Daniel Kleinman!

Good thing in the movie - No stupid Gadgets!! Thank God

Great movie. Craig was excellent and is Bond in only one movie(WOW).

Bad points? Too long and the title sequence was awful(which is not really much to complain about I know).

While I can't speak to the camera angles and such from Quentin Tarantino, if the torture scene is what I think it is (and it seems to be so based on prior comments), then Tarantino can't take credit for that. Ian Fleming wrote that in the book. That's how Fleming treated Bond in most of the novels. The Bond films are ultra-watered down from the novels...all of them.

I haven't seen this yet, but I'm looking forward to at some point. Just need to leave the kids somewhere...

Mmm, old Sebastien Foucan.

I thought this was rather good.  The romance was taken a tiny bit over the top but all in all this was lavish, exciting, thrilling, sexy, everything a Bond films should be.

Could've used one more action scene near the end there but I really appreciated the respect shown for the Bond legacy.  The infamous torture scene was brilliant and Craig played Bond off the books a little more than previous actors.

One to see, most definitely.  I can't wait for the next Bond.

Before I begin drooling over Daniel Craig, I have to talk about the movie.

It's fantastic!!! I really really enjoyed this Bond-fest. It was very sharp, totally not cheesy, brilliantly acted out and had a solid script and storyline. I liked the fact that 007 had some heart in this flick and moreso, more balls. (And THAT scene made me cringe, hahaha) - Really and truly this movie stands so well on it's own and separates itself from the franchise, in my opinion. Definately worth a viewing even if you don't enjoy the old Bond movies. It's good enough without ever having seen the others.

Now, onto the hotness factor. OH. MY. GOD. Let me repeat... OH. MY. F.GOD!!!!

Swoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon. Who the heck needs Bond girls when Bond was the Bond-boy and totally had the hot factor all to himself. See avatar for more proof. Nicely done Mr.Craig. He better be in the next installment.... or there'll be "too many broken hearts in the world".

Fave line - "Now the whole world will know that you died scratching my balls!"

*****SPOILER ALERT*****

Well, being a straight male I don't actually find myself attracted to Daniel Craig at all, but I can certainly see why other people would be.

I agree one hundred percent, I loved this flick. It was one of the best Bonds in years and years. The story is solid in its structure and execution and the performances were all top notch, especially for a Bond film. I've heard a lot of criticism about how the film is too long but it certainly didn't feel too long and I really don't see where they could have taken stuff out. Obviously some of the action could've been trimmed down a bit, but it just wouldn't have been Bond if they did.

And THAT scene made me cringe too. A lot of torture scenes are really disappointing to me because they're toned down. Even movies like Saw with the elaborate death traps were just not what a torture scene should be, for me anyway. I've never seen one that was exactly the way I imagined real torture would be. Until Casino Royale. It was excruciating to watch and the scene was performed really well by Craig. Those screams made me feel the pain he was in. And he got off a few good jokes in there as well, which I certainly wasn't expecting.

The heart of the film is the biggest in any Bond. Obviously we have the final scene in On Her Majesty's Secret Service and it is kind of similar to this, but the twist of Vesper working against Bond I certainly didn't see coming. I also like the fact that it turns out she only betrayed him to save his life and the moment of realisation in Bond was a very moving moment. I thought it was also great that the movie finally gave Judy Dench something more to do that just be boring exposition gal. Also I didn't mind the absence of Q. I didn't like that Moneypenny wasn't there, not because they omitted her, but because there was room for her. M has this funny little male secretary following her around the place throughout the entire movie. I don't know if they ever have his name but he certainly didn't have anything major to contribute. It should have been Moneypenny.

This Bond is not fantastical or far fetched like Die Another Day or Moonraker. It is a gritty, intense, somewhat realistic film without the gadgets. Bond is the investigator and he does the investigating. It's rough and brutal and I hope they continue this motif in the next installments rather than falling back on old bad habits. Bring on Bond 22.

Cheers, Chism.

I just wanted to say that I saw this movie this past weekend and I thought it was exceptional. I thought Daniel Craig was excellent. I love Pierce Brosnan (all of him) and liked him as Bond but his movies were, I don’t know, just kind of forgettable, I think. And I don’t think he ever made Bond his own really.

This one is almost redemptive after the Timothy Dalton (remember him?) and Pierce Brosnan ones.

The story was great. The action scenes were great. There’s very little I would change, none of which hurt it in any significant way. I would have shortened the love montage. I felt like it went on too long. I love how Bond shows some emotion and isn’t all just cool and collective all the time. The scene where James gets into a fight in the hotel and stairwell and the woman (I forget her name) gets stuck in the middle - it felt like I was there. Then the shower scene following it when she and James are together was a really nice touch. There was plenty of action and it had a great ending.

I really liked it. I had never seen a Daniel Craig movie before and I quite liked what I saw. Except for the bottomless chair scene - that was a bit disturbing. But it was hilarious when James Bond tells the villain to scratch his…well, you know what’s -- haha.

There’s a part where the female lead tells him he’s more man than all the others combined. It was funny because I was just thinking that same thing right before she said it. I was just thinking, “This guy is the manliest man I’ve ever seen!”
